Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

1 ½ cups milk (or almond milk for a dairy-free option)

1 large apple, peeled and diced (Honeycrisp is a perfect choice!)

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon ground nutmeg

2 tablespoons maple syrup (or honey)

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

2 tablespoons chopped walnuts or pecans (optional for added crunch)

¼ cup raisins or dried cranberries (optional for sweetness)

Greek yogurt or whipped cream (for topping, optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats and milk. Stir in the diced apple, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until everything is evenly mixed.

If you choose to include nuts and dried fruit, gently fold them into the oat mixture now. This will add delightful textures and enhance the flavor profile.

Spoon the mixture evenly into 4 jars or airtight containers. Be sure to leave a little space at the top of each jar, as the oats will swell as they absorb the liquid.

Seal the jars tightly and place them in the refrigerator. Let them chill overnight or for at least 6 hours to allow the oats to soften and the flavors to develop.

The next morning, give the oats a good stir to combine the ingredients. If the mixture appears too thick for your liking, feel free to add a splash more milk until you reach your desired consistency.

Before serving, top with a dollop of Greek yogurt or whipped cream if desired. Sprinkle additional cinnamon or chopped nuts on top for an extra touch of flavor and crunch. Enjoy your delightful Apple Pie Overnight Oats straight from the jar!
