Ingredients

8 slices of brioche bread

4 large eggs

1/2 cup milk

2 tablespoons vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

8 fully cooked breakfast sausage links

2 tablespoons butter (for cooking)

Maple syrup (for serving)

Powdered sugar (for optional garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the French Toast Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, vigorously whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt. Ensure the mixture is well combined and slightly frothy.

Slice the Bread: Use a round cookie cutter or a glass to carefully cut each slice of brioche bread into circles, creating mini rounds suitable for sliders.

Dip the Bread: Preheat a large non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Dip each round of brioche into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for around 10-15 seconds on each side until fully coated but not overly soggy.

Cook the French Toast: Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the preheated skillet, allowing it to melt and coat the surface. Place the soaked bread rounds in the skillet, cooking in batches if necessary, for approximately 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and crisp. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.

Cook the Sausages: In the same skillet, add the breakfast sausage links. Sauté for about 2 minutes on each side until they are heated through and slightly browned.

Assemble the Sliders: Take one round of the mini French toast, place a sausage link on top, and then crown it with another round to form a sandwich. Gently press down to secure the layers together.

Serve: Arrange the assembled sliders on a large platter. Drizzle with generous amounts of maple syrup and, if desired, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar for an added touch of sweetness. Serve while warm for best enjoyment.
