Ingredients

12 lasagna noodle sheets (oven-ready)

1 cup ricotta cheese

1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded (divided into two portions)

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 jar (approximately 24 oz) marinara sauce (preferably homemade or high-quality store-bought)

1 large egg, beaten

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon dried basil

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

Prepare the Base: Start by breaking the oven-ready lasagna noodles into thirds. This creates manageable pieces ideal for layering in the muffin tins.

Make the Cheese Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, 1 cup of shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan cheese, the beaten egg, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, dried basil, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Mix everything together until the mixture is smooth and well combined.

Assemble the Cups: Preheat your muffin tin by lightly greasing it with cooking spray or oil. Place a piece of the broken lasagna noodle at the bottom of each muffin cup to form the base layer.

        Layer the Ingredients:

          - Spoon a layer of marinara sauce over the noodle base, covering it evenly.

            - Add a layer of the cheese mixture on top of the marinara sauce.

              - Follow with another layer of broken noodle pieces.

                - Repeat the layering process: add more marinara sauce, then another dollop of the cheese mixture, and finish this layer with more noodle pieces.

Top it Off: For the final layer, spread a generous amount of marinara sauce over the last set of noodles. Finish with a hearty sprinkle of the remaining shredded mozzarella cheese on top.

Chill to Set: Cover the muffin tin with plastic wrap or foil and place it in the refrigerator. Allow the cups to chill for at least 2 hours, which helps the layers meld together and sets the structure.

Serve and Garnish: When ready to serve, carefully remove each lasagna cup from the muffin tin. Garnish with fresh basil leaves for a burst of color and flavor. Enjoy your delightful no-bake lasagna cups!
